____I Hate Organising.
I hate organising. It is already tough trying to get people to be interested in whatever you are organising. It is even tougher when during the event, ideas run out, and everyone takes it upon the organiser to think of something.
There was once when my friend organised his birthday celebration. He was really excited with it and all ready to blast the night away. However, he did not know that many of those invited were not very keen on it.
Wilson knocked some sense into me, explaining how shitty is it to organise something and not have anyone coming. Worse still, is that the organiser will have to bear all the costs of the event, in this case, the food and drinks of the party, not to mention the location too, which was a chalet.
He began to persuade friends of the birthday boy to attend the event. It was lucky that he was successful. Not only most of the friends went, everyone had quite a good time too. If not recalled wrongly, a few days later, I read in a newspaper that a girl committed suicide because friends did not turn up at her party. I was glad such a tragedy did not happen to someone I know.

Why am I writing all this?
Simply because I have been trying to organise football for people who just left the army and waiting for school to start. It is really difficult. Typing SMSes is not the nicest way to contact everyone. Nor is trying to reply stupid questions like "Who is playing?" It is worse when people contacted doused the flames by putting forward negative comments like " Aiyah, X sure won't play, and Y has something on and Z blah blah blah..." or "Later someone occupy the playing area how?"
I would rather have people be more proactive and give simple answers like "Sure!" or "Sorry, I can't make it on that day" or even "No, not interested". It makes the job of the organiser much more easier. Especially when it come to organising football games because unlike dinner outings or watching movies or even playing badminton, football requires a minimum number of 8 people to be able to play a decent 4 by 4 game.
In the end, it is due to such irritating flow of events leading to the organising of the football, that I am here at home writing an online diary entry that is due for quite sometime, instead of waiting and eagerly anticipating the next game to display the skills and passion of the game.
